"Miss, is this poem from when ‘gay’ meant happy?"

- Year 8 boy.

"Fezzes? Aren’t they something to do with Jews?"

- Year 9 girl.  No idea what she thought she meant.

"Wasn’t Shakespeare born in Stoke-on-Trent?"

- Year 10 girl.

Grey’s Anatomy ALWAYS makes me cry. Every week - without fail.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson: Obama Pride

If I was a kid in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 14 or 15 years old, and I watched the evening news with my parents and the sitting President of the United States said ‘I support gay marriage’ that would have been…it would have changed a lot. I don’t know if he knows how many lives he’s changing by saying that simple thing. He’s saving lives, really, and it’s very moving. I wish I’d had that when I was a kid, and also I’m so happy for the kids who have that now.

We’re on the brink of major movement forward, and it’s incredibly important to re-elect President Obama.
